About Payless Tyres Ltd
Established in 1991, Payless Tyres specialises in importing quality used tyres direct from Germany. Why Germany? German law stipulates car owners must fit new tyres each season. As the replaced tyres can still have 70% to 80% good tread on them, owner/operator Mike Burd personally travels to Germany to hand pick a suitable container shipment of tyres for the New Zealand market. Once delivered to our workshop, each tyre is pressure tested to ensure quality.
We have been operating for over 14 years, 80 percent of our business is with returning customers. We stock a huge range of quality used tyres, which we sell direct to the public. There is no need to book a time to fit your tyres, just drive in and we can fit them while you wait.

Our workshop
We have a fully equipped tyre workshop where we offer the latest technology from Europe in tyre fitting and computer balancing. There is no need to book a time to fit your tyres, just drive in and we will fit them while you wait. Our waiting room is equipped with magazines and tea and coffee making facilities.
