On the 17/12 a salesman who works for El Cheapo cars as well as GEM cars, was so arrogant, I looked around to find if anyone was open in GEM cars so I approached the guy at El Cheapo & he was so rude it was like it was out of his way to open up over at GEM cars, then he asked for a copy of my driver licence not explaining why & I thought he was going in the car with me to test drive it, he had the cheek to say it’s standard practice why because I’m brown Ive test driven cars in Porirua before & never had that problem if I’m going to spend $20k I expect better service than that GEM cars just lost a sale & a bad reputation to boot will never shop at either buyer beware bad service 👎🏼

Hi Ailysha lets get some facts straight.First of all we are not open on a Sunday we opened for you as a special consideration to you.you were asked to be there at 10 am you arrived at 9.30am demanding service. At all times you were treated with professional courtesy and respect. The salesman opened the car for youwhereupon you demanded a test drive even as you were saying i probably wont be buying this car.The salesman asked for your drivers license whereupon you launched into a tirade about how you didnt need to show your licence. It is a condition of our insurance that we see your license for you to have a test drive. You then said you would be buying elsewhere to which the salesman replied that that was your choice.the salesman then locked the car and bid you a good day whereupon you hurled a very vile amount of racist abuse.the salesman once again bid you a happy day.You mention in your message some nonsense about brown skin being in Porirua we have many Pasifika and Maori customers many of home are repeat customers whom we value very highly i think if you read our trademe feedback that after 100s of sales our feedback is over 98% positive.another question to you is why post your message 19 times is there something wrong with your head ? .Im sorry you seem to think that you had a bad experience but i can assure you that we didnt contribute to it on the contrary we went out of our way for you and you were treated with courtesy and respect all the way..
